Construction Quantity Surveyor

Vacancy open to Wandsworth residents only

Duties

The candidate will be involved in preparing payment applications, substantiations, invoice checks, and profit and loss calculations. The ideal candidate would be a Junior QS who will work with our Commercial Director on these and similar tasks. Core duties - Cost and budget management: Assist with preparing cost forecasts, estimates, and budgets for projects. - Project support: Support senior quantity surveyors in the financial and contractual management of projects from inception to completion. - Valuations and payments: Help prepare monthly valuations and process payments to subcontractors and consultants. - Tender support: Assist in preparing tender documents, including bills of quantities. - Contract administration: Help maintain contract documentation, monitor variations, and manage contract-related correspondence. - Liaison: Support communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers. - Reporting: Contribute to monthly financial reports on the project's status.

Essential Criteria

- Degree in Quantity Surveying - CSCS card (We provide training) - Good use of the office package and PC/Outlook - A strong aptitude for mathematics, problem-solving, and data analysis is essential - excellent communication (both written and verbal), attention to detail, and the Ability to work collaboratively in A team are critical - Previous work experience requirements: it is essential to have prior experience working in the construction Industry as A subcontractor and possibly under A Senior QS.
