Steelfixer - Work Match

Job Description

This vacancy is open to residents of London brough of Wandsworth only.
Contract expected to start late December/ early January

Duties

Cut, bend and shape steel reinforcement bars (rebar) to the required specifications.
Position and secure steel bars, mesh and reinforcement within concrete structures.
Tie reinforcement steel together using tying wire and appropriate tools.
Read and work from construction drawings, reinforcement schedules and specifications.
Install reinforcement for foundations, columns, walls, beams, slabs and other concrete structures

Essential Criteria

Previous experience as a Steelfixer or in reinforced concrete construction.
Blue Steelfixer CSCS card.
Ability to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules.
Good practical measuring and numerical skills.
Knowledge of steel fixing tools, equipment and techniques.
Physically fit and comfortable undertaking manual work.
Good understanding of construction site health and safety.
Ability to work accurately as part of a team.
