Formwork Carpenter - Work Match

Job Description

This vacancy is open to residents of London brough of Wandsworth only.
Contract expected to start late December/ early January

Duties

- Construct and assemble formwork and shuttering for concrete structures.
- Measure, cut and shape timber, plywood and other formwork materials to the required dimensions.
- Erect formwork for walls, columns, beams, slabs, foundations and other reinforced concrete structures.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
- Position and secure formwork accurately before concrete is poured.
- Install supports, props and bracing to ensure formwork remains stable and properly aligned.
- Check dimensions, levels and alignment to ensure work meets the required specifications.
- Work closely with steelfixers and concrete workers to prepare structures for concrete pours.
- Strip and dismantle formwork safely once the concrete has achieved the required condition
